You don't! We don't do an interior spray. You can be there while we do the job.

Once bees are inside a structure e.g. a wall they can not be recovered. Even the Bee association advises they need to be destroyed.  If left for sometime they will make honey comb and honey.  The honey has a strong pungent odour and will attract more bees   in the future. Once they have started making honey you may need enlist the services of a builder to get inside the structure and remove the honey comb. Otherwise   new nests of bees will be attracted to smell of the honey.

In spring young vigorous queens leave bee hives and take some of the bees with them. The are looking for a suitable place for a new nest. They can form a bee ball. This is where the bees hold onto each other and form a ball of bees. Commonly they are only there for a day or less and mostly hanging on something e.g.  branch in a tree. The good news is that they can be rescued. Call the Bee Association and they will send around a local bee keeper to rehome them. Happy ending for all concerned.

All insulation needs to be removed. All timber needs to be bare ( free of paint and varnish). Under the house needs to clear for access to do the treatment Please clear under the house of hazards e.g. broken glass

Bed bugs are not common in NZ . Of the people calling saying they have bed bugs, most of these are from UNEXPLAINED BITES.  These people have not seen a Bed Bug  and only have bites. Bed bugs are only 1/20 of the people calling in saying they have bed bugs. People with Bed bugs always see them, and have no issues sending a photo of one.

Unlikely. As German Cockroaches need to be somewhere warm, they are mostly not found in the bathroom.  Mostly cockroaches in the bathroom are Bush cockroaches that have come inside by accident.

Please clear any items on window sills. Pull curtains back and blinds up. Put food away. Cover pet fish  (Gold fish).

NO!   Only two American and German cockroaches  are found in warm areas. The rest prefer cool environments like outside bark gardens and foliage

Please clear the floors ( e.g. clothes electronics) and run the vacuum around the house. Please clear under beds. Pick electronics off the floor e.g. laptops modems. Cover or remove electronics e.g. security cameras. Please put  food away, cover pet fish and exclude pets You need to plan to leave the house for 3 hours to let the spray dry

We do not offer any treatments for pets such as cats or dogs. You need to take the advice of your Vet and use their recommended products to treat your pet.

People are hyped up my misinformation on the internet and the media  sensationalizing   Bed bugs. They are uncommon in Auckland

YES! Our treatments kill all the fleas present in the house/business. However cocoons can hatch out new fleas. We add in an Insect Growth Regulator ( IGR) to the flea spray. The fleas in the cocoons can take up to four weeks to hatch out.

Our treatments kill all the adult fleas in the house or business immediately. Cocoons if present will all hatch out within 4 weeks. During the first four weeks as the freshly hatched fleas from the cocoons take  their first meal  you may get a few bites. They the fleas perish when they try to grow.

Commonly customers  do NOT have a cat or dog.  Mostly we don't know where the  fleas come from.

No we dont offer exterior treatments for fleas

NO!  If you want to stop flies coming into your home or business you need to put up some form of barrier e.g. mesh or close all the doors and windows and air condition the house/business.

NO! Mice don't drink water as they get their moisture from their food. They chew the soft plastic mains pressure water pipes as pleasant past time. The mice are as surprised as you are when water comes gushing out of the mains water pipes.

True mice are stupid. But they are rapid  breeders. Without the experience of a Professional pest controller you are unlikely to get them all. Best to trust the professional who nails all of them every time.

Mice are stupid but predictable. For older homes e.g. villas they come up from under house around the pipes. Normally under the kitchen sink. For new homes on a concrete slab, they come in via the garage door. Uncommonly they can come in via trees touching the roof line.

No. Our treatments are synthetic chemicals. Many of them have the same safety profile as  organic treatments. Remember Lead  and Arsenic are organic . Organic doesn't  make it safe.

Yes. Synthetic  Pyrethroid sprays have the same safety profile as Organic ones. They are from the the same class and have similar characteristics in terms of  being low toxicity to mammals.

Nothing. Rats are NO preparation job

NO! The rats near the stream are the sewer rats that are poor climbers. The noises in your ceiling are either from roof rats who are excellent climbers. Or mice who can sometimes be found in a ceiling space or birds, in particular in spring.

UNLIKELY.  If the home owner uses non professional grade bait incorrectly you will make the rats sick and they will die in the walls. Professional pest controllers reduce the chance of this happening by their techniques and professional grade products.

UNLIKELY: There is no scientific  evidence that they do or don't. At the moment its all subjective theory and customer comments.

Ask the salesperson for a published study  that the devices work.  Remember the consumer protection groups in NZ and Australia have already established  that is no evidence that these devices work!

This is called secondary poisoning. It's has been documented in Birds of Prey. It has NEVER been documented in domestic cats or dogs. Anywhere in the world.

We use controls that are excluded from your dog. This means your dog doesn't have access to the controls. There is NO risk to your pet dog.

The species of ant determines how long the treatments take to be effective.  This times ranges from  one to 8 weeks.  If after this time your believe the ants are not being controlled, please get in contact with your invoice number and we can get a plan together.

Please note: A four week follow up visit is included in the original treatment cost. At the four week follow up visit I will inspect for any  life cycle of  bed bugs If after  four weeks you are still having issues please send your invoice number and I will get in contact.

You need to wait for 9 months for the PestBor to control the Borer larvae After nine months if you see Frass ( yellow powder) coming from the Borer pinhole please send your invoice number and I will be contact.

For  Gisborne cockroaches, sometimes these cockroaches can be dormant and hide in your house. As a result you may need a week to allow the treatments to work. Have your trimmed back the foliage touching your home/ structure?  If not please trim the foliage back to a 5cm gap and get in touch.

To establish that the treatment has worked you need to wait for four weeks for the Insect Growth Regulator to work on the cocoons. If after four weeks you are still getting bites, you need to provide evidence that there are fleas causing the bites. A photo is preferred. Or a flea you have caught in a container. You need to treat pet Cats and Dogs under the direction of your Vet, with products purchased from your Vet. Supermarket and Pet Shop products  void the guarantee.

Flying insects are not included  by  the SILVER BULLET GUARNATEE

If after a week you are still seeing spiders please send your invoice number and I will get in contact. Please note the exterior webs need to be left up for seven days before being taken down with a broom or cloth ( not water blasted)

If after 3 days there are still wasps coming and going then please send your invoice number and I will be in contact shortly. This has happened only once in 15 years of trading.

No. The Silver bullet guarantee is not available to commercial customers.

If you steam clean the floors in the first four weeks after a flea treatment you void the guarantee.

The Guarantee only applies if you use products purchased from your Vet for your pet. If you choose to use supermarket or pet shop  this voids the Silver Bullet Guarantee.

Please leave spider webs up. Put food away. Clear window sills,  pull curtains back and blinds up. Exclude pets and cover pet fish. Windows shut is preferred but not essential You need to plan to leave the house for 3 hours Please schedule house washes before the treatment ( not same day or directly after)

No. Please wait a week for the spiders to run over the webs then remove them. After a week, please use a broom (not water) to remove the webs

Nothing. Please leave the nest alone.

Once the nest is destroyed it can't come back to life. Once the queen is dead the entire nest dies. Sometimes we take the nest away too.

Wasps harvest wood to make into paper for their nests. If you have unpainted wood then it could be bringing in the wasps so they can harvest it. You may wish to paint or varnish the wood and the wasps may go else where.

Wasps fly in one of two directions, either to the nest or to a food and/or water source. You need to observe their flight patterns to find their nest.

Wasps fly up to 200m to forge. Your nest (s) is/are within 200m of the wasps you are seeing.

Wasps use the nest to feed. They only gather raw materials and can not feed themselves. When the nest is destroyed the returning wasps are trapped outside and can not feed. After a few hours they will go away.
