Pest Control Auckland Mice – a Rodent-Free Home

Got a Mouse Problem? We’ve Got You Covered!

Rodent issues are common, especially when it comes to mice. These tiny intruders are quick, sneaky, and breed rapidly. But don’t stress—that’s what we’re here for!

Why You Should Act Fast

Mice are more than just a nuisance; they pose serious health risks. They carry diseases, trigger allergies, and can wreak havoc on your food, clothes, and even furniture. Worse still, their constant gnawing on wires and pipes can lead to dangerous electrical fires.

Health Risks from Mice

Mice are notorious for spreading serious diseases and parasites like fleas and ticks. Here are a few of the health risks associated with them:

  • Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis (LCM): Viral infection causing fever, muscle aches, nausea, and more.
  • Salmonella: Bacterial infection leading to diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps.
  • Mycoplasma: Bacteria that can cause respiratory issues and pneumonia.
  • Leptospirosis: Bacterial disease resulting in high fever, headaches, and vomiting.
  • Dysentery: Gastrointestinal disorder causing abdominal pain and cramps.

Will my pets and children be safe?

At ACES we make your safety our first priority. We use stations that  exclude  you, your children and your pets from the controls.

As mice commonly spread disease they are in fact the real and present danger to you and your family.

Why Mice Invade Your Home

Mice naturally live outdoors but seek warmth indoors as temperatures drop in autumn. They often enter homes through small openings, like a tree branch touching the roof or gaps in garage doors.

Spotting a Mouse Infestation

Think you might have mice? Look for these signs:

  • Droppings: Small black pellets (~5mm).
  • Odours: A strong, ammonia-like smell.
  • Noises: Scratching or scurrying, especially at night.
  • Gnaw Marks: Chewing on wood, plastic, or cables.
  • Nests: Shredded paper or fabric in hidden places like attics or garages.

MICE FAQS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS MICE

Q: MICE: WHAT PREPARATION IS REQUIRED FOR MICE?

A: Nothing. This a NO preparation job

Q: MICE: THE PLUMBER SAID MICE CHEW WATER PIPES BECAUSE THEY ARE THIRSTY

A: NO! Mice don't drink water as they get moisture from their food. They chew the soft plastic mains pressure water pipes as pleasant past time. The mice are as surprised as you are when water comes gushing out of the mains water pipes.

Q: MICE:  ARE EASY TO KILL, WHY SHOULD I PAY AN EXTERMINATOR?

A: True mice are stupid easy to kill. But they are rapid breeders. Without the experience of a Professional pest controller, you are unlikely to get them all. Best to trust the professional who nails all of them every time.

Q: MICE: HOW DID THE MICE GET INTO MY HOUSE?

A: Mice are stupid but predictable. For older homes e.g. villas they come up from under house around the pipes. Normally under the kitchen sink. For new homes on a concrete slab, they come in via the garage door. Uncommonly they can come in via trees touching the roof line.
